MY LEGACY

The Critchfield Family

I was diagnosed with leukemia when I was 19 years old. I underwent a bone marrow transplant in Sept. 1994. My sister Rikki donated her marrow~we were a perfect match! I am a cancer survivor and have been cancer free for 15 years! I am so thankful for the second chance I was given. I married my sweetheart in March 2001 and we have two beautiful daughters, Shondrel and Sydney. I could not ask for anything more. I am grateful for my life!

Sydney

Sydney Layton Critchfield was born Aug. 09, 2007. She is Shonnie's biological sister. We adopted sweet Syd and was able to bring her home the day after she was born. That was almost three years ago! WOW! These are some pictures of little Silly (as her sister would say) the day after she was born. After two failed IVF tries, tons of money, and feeling as if we were never going to have kids in this life, I was so filled with thankfulness and joy to learn we were bringing two girls home! What a BLESSING!!! We are so grateful to the girls birth mother for this gift.
